The Kokua Tree and its members work together to battle food insecurity and reduce food waste across the state of Hawaii. This non-profit organization strives to create a more sustainable community, one fruit at a time.
The Kokua Tree was created in early 2021 by four high school students at Punahou School with a passion for ending food insecurity. We have since grown to be a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with three operating branches in Oahu: Sacred Hearts Academy, Island Pacific Academy, and Punahou School.
We are looking to expand to more schools in Oahu as well as our neighboring islands. Contact us at kokuatree@gmail.com if you are interested in creating a branch in your own community!
